Assignment Title: "Strengthening local capacities of a pilot-nursery and promote energy forestry"

The World Bank, under the phase 2 of the ENPI FLEG Program, intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services to implement the activity mentioned above. The main purpose of the services is to ensure that capacities of an existing local forest regeneration unit (nursery) are strengthened and that conditions for the energy forestry based on fast-growing tree species (as a valuable component of the renewable energy network in the country) are promoted through cooperation of main stakeholders involved in the management of local forest resources.

The position is suitable for any legal organization (Company, NGO, research institute etc.) with strong qualifications in forest management, specifically in forest nursery and/or forest reproduction area.

The World Bank now invites eligible consultant companies to indicate their interest in providing their services. The Consultant will be hired for the entire period of Program implementation in the country (2013-2016). The Consultant will be selected individually on the basis of qualifications and experience in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank's Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers (January 2011).
